I just bought a hp pavilion dv4 off somebody but I can not login because I have no password or any CDs. I have tried the steps to factory reset/recovery using the f8 and f11 buttons however its gets to the loading files screen then takes me to the signin screen. Idk what else to do someone help me please.

Hi:
You can't do a factory reset without knowing the Windows password.
You have the option to buy recovery media from this vendor at the link below. HP no longer sells it for your notebook.

Or, if you still can read all 25 characters of the W7 product key on your notebook's case, you can download the W7 home premium 64 bit ISO file from the link below that I have posted. It will be good for 24 hours from the time I post this reply.
Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable, or you can use a free utility such as Rufus.
When you get the the part of the installation that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows,' delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space. Click Next, and W7 should begin to install.
After W7 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
