Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an HP Pavilion laptop (Model A dv6z-3100) running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium that has a blank display and a continuous (not just 2) blinking Caps Lock light.  I've tried a Hard Reset, removing and replacing the SODIMM chips, changing the CMOS battery, and had a clean virus scan the last time I was able to check (last month).  YouTube videos indicate that I might have a BIOS problem.  I did try the usual things (i.e., holding the Windows and B buttons during power up, holding the Windows and V buttons during power up, holding just the B button during power up, pressing the F10 function key during power up, pressing the Esc key during power up) with the result that I still have a blank display and a blinking Caps Lock light.  I am able to find a 32 bit BIOS update for my computer, but not a 64 bit BIOS update.  HP stopped support for my model computer back in 2011.  Since I have some software programs I'd still like to run on this laptop, I was hoping someone has the last 64 bit BIOS update that was issued.

Hi:

Since HP retired support for your PC because of their policy of discontinuing support upon the PC reaching 10 years of age, the only place that I know of where you can find the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook, would be from this reputable 3rd party website.

Since the BIOS file was designed to run in Windows, I don't know how you can recover the BIOS with this file.
