I need help finding my drivers for my device. When I installed windows 10, it was workig perfectly fine, so I forgot to install drivers, and then I stopped using it for a year. Now I want to repurpose it. I need help finding the drivers. For some reason the sound does not work, even though windows detects it and says it is playing sound. The remote control is not working for some reason. I know the media center and everything won't work, but I want to use an app when it receves certain commands it will do something. I want to use the remote for that.

See if this W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model notebook works on your notebook.

IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver

6.10.6492.0

sp71886.exe

Restart the PC after installing the driver.

You need this driver for the remote control:

ENE CIR Receiver Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp44501-45000/sp44983.exe

Check your notebook's device manager and let me know what other drivers you may need:

You probably need this driver if there is an unknown device:

ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64144.exe

If there is a Base System Device needing a driver, you need this one:

JMicron Card Reader Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45010.exe

The driver that has the triangle yellow error symbol is under other devices, as Unknown Device.

Post the hardware ID for the unknown device so I can figure out what driver it needs.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device:

How to Find Drivers for Unknown Devices in the Device Manager

The hardware IDs are "ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004" "ACPI\HPQ0004" "*HPQOOO4"
