Product: HP Pavilion g6-1241sa
Hi,
Initially my Pavilion g6-1241sa was powering on but the screen was black. I decided to take the machine apart as it had not been used in years and I thought there may have been some dust buildup causing a connection issue with the screen. However, after performing some light cleaning and putting the machine back together the machine no longer powers on. When I plug a charger in I see an orange light next to the cable but no response from the power button.
i have already tried the following:
>>Hard reset
- Shut down your notebook and remove the battery.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- After 10-15 seconds reinsert the battery.
- Start your notebook and check if the problem is solved.
>>Bios recovery
- Shut down your notebook.
- While notebook is turned off the press and hold [Windows Button + B].
- While pressing these keys press power button for 3 seconds.
- Release power button after 3 seconds while keep pressing [windows button + B]
- Your notebook will boot into BIOS recovery mode immediately or it will beep 8 times and will take 45 seconds to boot into BIOS recovery mode.
- Do not release [Windows button + B] Until you don't see the BIOS recovery mode on your LED screen.
- Follow on-screen instructions to recover bios.
However, neither of these have worked. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks
