Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

I’ve had this laptop for several years and I haven’t used it in a while so I don’t remember the password. When I try factory reset it said “Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing.” I then tried to reset my password online, as that’s what it told me I could do after I tried an incorrect password, but even after resetting the password it still says it’s incorrect! I do not have the recovery disk.
