I recently updated to update a pavilion BIOS. After the computer restart, the machine is stuck on the ""please wait while we install a system update". I've removed the battery. placed in back in again and went into BIOS and had to update time/date as it was set incorrectly. saved and exited - no change. I've also tried restoring the BIOS to previous version and while it appeared to work, it is still suck on please wait...

tried to boot into legacy mode and that did not work.

I've run all diags and the HDD comes back clean.

I've tried using the HP recovery tool, but it won't recognized the product ID. I am running the tool from my lenovo, but even after entering the correct product ID it says not recognized.

Anyone have this issue and found a resolution?
