I have to reset my device to factory settings. I wanted to create a USB stick with the Cloud Recovery Tool because the old one is defective. But unfortunately the tool suddenly shows that the product ID does not match or is invalid. What is the problem?

I have noticed during the last few months that HP must be removing cloud recovery support for notebooks more than 5 years old that used to be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.
There are hundreds of models that used to be supported that no longer are.
There is nothing you can do other than to use the Microsoft media creation tool to create a bootable USB drive if you ever have to reinstall Windows.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
After Windows has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

You're very welcome.
Most HP Pro and Elite series notebooks and business desktops are supported by a different version of the cloud recovery system.
Those PC's use the cloud recovery client software, and that file is downloaded right from the PC's support page, under the software - security section.
For example, the Prodesk 600 G2's and newer are supported by the utility.
I have a HP 15-ee0047nr consumer class notebook that was made in 2020 and that is still supported by the cloud recovery tool, but I bet in 2026, it won't be.
