This problem is coming everytime I am trying to update my windows to the newest build. Bought this laptop 3 days back and had to reboot the system twice through HP's help. I was told this problem is being faced by a lot of people recently and was told to disable my windows update but not given any time frame when the problem would be resolved. 

 

HELP required.

HP has just issued a patch to address this issue.Wait 5-10 minutes for black screen to move on to desktop and install the patch.
Patch download:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp81501-82000/sp81965.exe

HP Recommended

Intially there was a white screen that came but the desktop loaded immediately after that.

 

Will use it over a couple of days and see.
