  • I opened my HP Pavilion x360 laptop however when I opened the laptop to open the lock screen the screen was frozen. The mouse would move by my external mouse but the trackpad did not move the mouse nor did the keyboard work. Tried to turn off the laptop by holding the power button but it would not turn off even after holding it for so long. The keyboard does not work even after plugging in an external one.

Hi @Josiah9,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

Let's try the Power drain

Please disconnect all the devices and cables connected to your computer including the power cable and then press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds connect the power cable back again and try to power on the computer.

CBR:

Press windows key and then follow by the key "B" this time and then the power button for around 3-4 seconds, then release the power button and continue to hold windows+B for 3-4 seconds more.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
