Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I am trying to fix the BIOS error which is preventing my PC from booting up.

I have tried all available options to fix.

When i tried to reload Windows using USB it will not let me select the USB as an option.

I have tried hard reboot, with Windows +B and Windows +V

What else can I try.

Would a technician be able to fix it or is the problem not fixable

@Traken, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

USB Boot Drive Health

Make sure the USB is bootable:

Use Rufus to re-create the Windows 10 USB.

Format as FAT32, not NTFS (older UEFI systems need this).

Ensure the ISO used is valid (from Microsoft's official site).

BIOS Access

Try pressing the Esc key repeatedly after powering on, then press F10 to enter BIOS.

Inside BIOS:

Go to Boot Options:

Enable Legacy Support (if disabled)

Disable Secure Boot

Move USB to the top of the boot order

Save & Exit

BIOS Recovery via USB (HP BIOS Recovery)

You may refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Recovering the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
