Hello!

I want to buy notebook ProBook 440 G5, but in nearest shop they sells with preinstalled OS Windows, and I prefer using Linux. Do I have the right to request the removal of Windows operating system and substract its price from the total?

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, you do not.

 

The W10 product key is in the BIOS, so HP has already paid for the W10 license, and will pass the cost on to the buyer.

 

Removing the operating system would be meaningless, since a person can reinstall W10 for free at any time with the W10 product key being in the PC's BIOS.

 

You can buy 440 G5's with FreeDOS.  Those would cost less than those that come with W10.
