Probook 440 G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When building 440 G6 from SCCM I appear to be missing 2 drivers in teh Device Manger list.

ACPI\HPQ6007

ACPI\HPIC000c

I've tried the 3D Gaurd driver however this didn't seem to work.

Can someone assist me with as to what these are for.

Cheers

Hi:

You do need the 3D driveguard driver for the first one.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101001-101500/sp101237.exe

You can try the older version if you want...

6.0.45.1   Jan 8, 2018

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp84501-85000/sp84595.exe

For the second device, I have zipped up and attached the driver you need below.

You will have to manually install the driver as follows...

Download and unzip the file to its folder.

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager.  Click on the unknown ACPI\HPIC000C device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the unzipped driver folder.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver will install.

Then restart the PC.

I had tried that 3d-Guard driver and it was still installing it.

I've downloaded this again and will try it.

I'm not liking these 440 G6's they tend to get very warm and loud with the Fan always on.

I know HP has tried to reduce the weight and make it slimmer but at the cost of a hotter device and louser.  I don't think it is worth it.
