HP QUICK START NOT WORKING

the hp quickstar does not work  it is empty black inside the box

Did the HP Quick Start work before? Did the Notebook come with Windows 10 or Windows 8? 

The HP Quick start was designed for Windows 8 and 8.1.

It has always worked good with window 8 and windows8.1 .  I have upgraded to win 10 and it was still working.

I am not sure what caused it to stop. It finally came back to life and is working ok as of 2 hours ago.

what is was doing was the HP quick start box would show up and no programs or favorites would show up it was black.

and locked up with a little circle that looked like it was waiting to open.

At any rate  it is ok now

In Windows 8, the Start button and Start menu from previous versions of Windows have been replaced with the Start screen. As an alternative to using the new Windows 8 Start screen, HP Quick Start organizes your apps in a format that resembles the traditional Windows Start menu.

HP QUICK START supports only Windows 8 and 8.1
