Hi everybody. I have HP 15-bs107nt 2PM33EA#AB8 notebook.
I checked if my laptop would support Cloud Recovery Tool or not, and I got the result which says your computer is supported. I installed Cloud Recovery Tool and I made bootable USB device. Although it seems there isn’t anything made wrongly, when I boot laptop from USB, the Recovery Manager says “This computer is not supported by System Recovery Media.”
Then I checked again whether I had mistaken about laptop is supported or not and I got the same result, it says your computer is supported. What is the problem? Thank you.
There is an error code: 0100 - 832B , ......... (something like that)
25.03.2020 edit:
I have fixed it on my own. The problem is Sysid.txt file in boot.wim. File path is that "boot.wim\sources\reocvery\tools\RM\Sysid.txt". And there is another Sysid.txt in Preload folder; you should apply the solution on it as well.
In this file, there are ID's of some systems. There wasn't 832B id; I added this, then it worked.
I exported boot.wim through Gimagex. It may be your solution. I think the problem is caused from lack of this value. And I guess the problem is HP's fault. If any HP employee preparing those images read here, I want to say to them that the problem is in Sysid.txt values in the image.
Edit 31.3.2020: I realized the solution I wrote above won’t solve this problem, probably because HP prepared this image for new motherboard models. When I checked my build ID and Feature Byte, it doesn’t match with that of recovery image.
Consequently, the image is compatible with 832C motherboard, but not 832b. Even if I recover from this image, it probably will give an error message.

Hello @erennygt
Even though the HP website does confirm your device should be supported, I really do not know what may be wrong for the Cloud recovery to fail. It might be unsupported hardware change, website mistake, etc....
Your PC is considered consumer/home users device and I have only used Cloud recovery for business class/commercial computers. You may check the official instructions again and the FAQ section.
But I can offer you a workaround. You can read more about the types of notebook recovery solutions here.
- I would suggest you use Microsoft way - Windows Media Creation tool. Create a bootable media and boot from it to reinstall Windows. I have created and uploaded instructions which you can read in the attached PDF file below.
Let me know how it goes - keep me updated.

Hi @erennygt
Thank you for your update.
- The HP image is not different (not much different) from the default/vanialla one you can create with the Media Creation tool.
- It is still Windows - the same Windows 10 , not a different one 😊
If you need to (note that these are not mandatory) ... you can restore/reinstall most of the preinstalled HP apps from the HP website / drivers section >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
