Hi I just try to do recovery,,because I have some issue past few weeks with power,,,if pluged in charger notebook slow down (very slow down) I try to replace charger but without change,,, I read tons of reviews&problems with that on HP support community,,so I decide to try do first Recovery and see if it's still problem with power before I will send to HP service,, because it's not cheap to solve issue with power ,,maybe needs replace full motherboard+cpu ,,,but now it's there another problem with Recovery Manager just show faulty ,,pls check photos,,thanks for any replies and tips :-)I'm really thinking for some a other brand ,,so HP brand reliability its really now on zero ,,don't understand that using after nearly two years notebook going in scrap or pay big Bill's,, cost that ??Haha thanks again 🙂

Hi:
If the recovery manager system isn't working, try making the W10 recovery image by using the HP cloud recovery client software.
Here is a link for how to use the utility...

Hi:
Yes, there is one more thing you can try...
Clean install W10 using the media creation tool at the link below.
Follow the instructions to create bootable USB installation media.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Since the recovery system is broken, when you get to the screen that asks where do you want to install Windows, delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition, and then install W10.
No sense in leaving useless drive space that nothing can be done with.
After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

I will try and will se what's happening,,but anyway I will lost win product key,,,so don't thing HP recovery apps work fine,,I remember that I have Acer laptop for long years and do it recovery every month without any issue:-) this laptop are like new,,I didn't use for any games or something extra,,just simple daily things,,email,FB,check Bill's,,
,to be honestly I found new motherboard which cost around 1000£,,Haha I can buy full new tag same laptop which are cost about 1200£ Haha ,,so hopefully HP service will take this **bleep** back and replace all what needs just for 255£ if not I will never buy nothing from HP,,,I got another HP basic laptop+printers which are working ok,,"for how long"haha
Just reads another complain for x360 Haha,,to be honestly when I was buy this laptop I was comparing with Dell alienware which was been just littlest expensive around 100/200£ so now it's to late Haha maybe alienware are much better,,anyway they are for gaming ,,so better performace+much better cooling around cpu,,so maybe no one capacitor are burn so fast like on HP,,I just thing there are burned some capacitor or some microchip,,but that's are only my tips,,I don't like open this laptop anyway I don't have tools for that,,just read to many forums with that same issue like mine and nearly all are same ,,replace motherboard+cpu ,,,much easy for service guy replace full part than soldier micro capacitor or microchip:-) Haha ,,this is ironic for 21 century's,,replace full part than try to fix small issue ,,,Haha,,,anyway thanks for your replies and tips 🙂 I will let you know later how it it's with that win media tools 🙂

You're very welcome.
Glad the clean install of W10 worked for you.
I don't get that charger issue. I hope that your notebook is not one of the many where the motherboard is on its way out.
As far as clearing the BIOS P/W, you are going to have to try and remember what it was, because our forum rules were revised on March 1, 2019 which prohibit us from providing unlock codes, etc., for clearing the BIOS P/W.
Rule 4d.
