Thank you IT WinSec for your effort and helpfull advices,

good news is that I manage to reset laptop to factory settings and bad news is that I lost i my files,(Video, txt documents...)

nothing to importanat but....

I have tried to refresh Windows but got message that drive C: is lock.???

After that I tried to reset to previous point, 26.08. but all went fine until the end, when I got message that previous point was restored and  when I was prompt to click on reboot window , it was running all day and night until morning without succes.

So finally I made System restore with HP Recovery Manager and when got message to back-up my files,no files detected

on C: drive.???

So I have done factory reset process and all went fine, have my HP back to service.

Once more , kindly thanks  for all your advicess.

Hello Q100,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

I'm sorry for the issue you experience. It seem like hung. Did you tried to restart it - I see no other option is available at the moment - keep pressed the power-on button for some seconds to stop it. Wait some more seconds and try to turn it on.

Does it boot to Windows eventually ?

Looking forward to your reply. If it does not work, we'll think of other options.

Than you for answering

yes I already tried but still the same. Also I have recovery USB from other Notebook with Windows 8 and tried to restore to

previous point, but got outcom as I wrote in my post.

I do not want to lose my file and I am afraid that System Recovery will be last option.

I wondering if the problem is hard drive why I got troubleshooting screen old the time??

After passing step with HP Recovery Manager nothing changed, same as before

Thanks

Hello,

It remains a bit unclear to me what of the many recovery options you have tried initially with the affecte notebook - was it System Restore, was it Windows Refresh or it was HP Recovery ?

If you performed HP Recovery, did you choose to keep your files - archive them somewhere ? HP Recovery usually erases/formats the Windows partition therefore if you did not initially copy your files, they are probably gone.

You should only use HP recovery media created for your computer model, not for other machines.

I don't think it's hardware issues but you can test:

1. Please, shutdown the computer using the power button

2. Power it on.

2.1 As soon as you press the power-on button, keep hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Startup Menu which may look similar to this one

3. Choose F2 to open System Diagnostics. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform System Test >> Quick test.

This will check major hardware componets for issue (do it just in case) .
Here is more info >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467259#AbT1

Please, let me know the results of the test.

Regarding your files -

Download a copy of Ubuntu Linux operating system - free from http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

Save the ISO

Burn the ISO to a blank DVD  -or-  write it to an empty USB thumbdrive

Once ready,

* Ensure Secure Boot is disabled.

* Ensure Legacy mode is enabled

* Save the UEFI/BIOS changes.

Details>> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653226

Once ready, please, shutdown the computer using the power button.

Insert the Windows USB thumdrive prepared previously or the DVD

Power  on the PC.

As soon as you press the power-on button, keep hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Startup Menu which may look similar to this one

Choose F9 to open Boot options. Select the thumb drive as boot option or the Ubuntu DVD.

Boot from Ubuntu, start the file manager which should mount your HDD and you can then copy/paste your files.

Once ready, restart and remove your Ubuntu media.

If the hardware tests pass and if you managed to copy your files (if any), you should consider getting original HP Recovery media.

If you tried to perform HP Recovery initially, it might have failed due to many reasons but one of it may be that the recovery partition used was corrupted.

You can contact HP support to see if they can offer you original recovery media for this computer (a.k.a. recovery DVDs or USB).

Here is how you can contact them :

Option 2) If there is no recovery media at HP, you can try to contact

http://www.best2serve.com/page/rcd_landing   OR   http://www.computersurgeons.com/

to see if they can offer you such recovery media

Once you get the recovery media, here are instructions how to perform the recovery:

The video is just an example but basically you need to boot from the Recovery media (F9 boot options) and follow the on-screen instructions

Please, let me know if this works you. I hope the long instructions did not frustrate you.
