When I launch HP Recovery Manager to recover my system, the "System Recovery" option is greyed out and has the message "Disabled: Please use Recovery Media to recover your system." I don't have any recovery media (apart from the D:/ 'recovery' drive, if that counts.) What should I do?

Hi
Try this
- Click Start , right-click Computer , and then select the Manage option.
- In the left panel of the Computer Management window, double-click Storage to expand the options.click Disk Management to display a list of partitions, also called Volumes .
- Right-click the Recovery partition (D:) , and select the Activate Volume option.

@ManjunathTech
Erico's article is about recovery manager not starting. Here recovery manager is starting but in that the system recovery option in that is greyed out and disabled.
Though I have recovery media (pen drive), I still want to know why recovery from laptop's hard disk partition is disabled.
