at the attention of the administrator:  Can you please change the category of my post?  It should not be under Notebook Operating System, and should be instead under Printer - Pinter Setup, Software & Drivers.  But it looks like I don,t have "privilege" to post under this last catebory.  When I try, I get the an error "You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action"

Hello,
My laptop runs Windows11 .
The app "HP Smart" (reinstalled from Windows Store and HP platform) crashes when I try to save a scan.
1) The scanning part works well (on my recently purchased HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw). The preview appears on the screen.
2) I click on Save. I am prompted to validate the filename.
3) I click on Save. I expect to be prompted to select the folder in which the file will be saved. Instead, the application gets closed.
This is very frustrating.
The printer works well. I can scan & save a file using the "HP Smart" app from my Samsung S23.
The issue is really specific to this Windows application.
Unfortunately, it seems there is no alternative on the Windows platform to run a scan with a recent HP Printer.
I've tried all the basic tests: reinstall the application and reinstall Adobe Acrobat.
I've looked around on this forum and over the internet and there seems to be a lot of people with the exact same issue. What is the solution?

Thanks for your help

Regards,
