Spectre notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought the HP Spectre  laptop with the additional  Care Pack coverage for 3 years to include spills and accidents. During the past 2.5 years of use the laptop was accidently dropped a couple of times, once on concrete causing damage to the bottom plate.  Since I only have 6 months left under the Care Pack I sent in for repairs to the bottom plate and it appeared to be warped from hitting the concrete.  .

I checked on repair status and also received an email noting that there would be charges for the repairs.

Of course when you contact HP support you can only chat. They said they have no idea why but give them at least 24 hours to find out....I then called and spoke with Spectre Support. The lady checked on it and said they noted damage to the bottom plate and charges to repair.

She also couldn't tell me why or how much the repairs would be. Asked that I give them 2-3 days to find out. I explained that I bought the 3 years Care Pack and should be covered yet they wanted 3 days to find out why.

I was so mad I told her just to box it up and return to me as is....Totally done with HP.
