HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl012dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl012dx laptop. Recently, my battery won't charge and the battery icon tells me that it's plugged in but not charging. I ran an HP Support Assistant diagnostic on the battery, and it recommends that I replace my battery.

I bought this laptop in June 2017, so my warranty is expired, but should the battery have died only after 2 years? And it died pretty quickly, across a few days. The battery number itself is HSTNN-DB7R.

I'm wondering, then, if I'm supposed to buy my own replacement battery and install it myself, or otherwise where would I go to get the battery replaced by a professional?

Your machine uses battery part # 902499-856 which is not available as shown

You may want to keep or bookmark the link for future references. You can use part number to search for and buy elsewhere for example
