The F keys are not working in Outlook as category shortcuts. I'm thinking it may be related to the two sets of keys, Fn and F.

How do I tell which key set is loading, Fn or F? Could this be the problem or is it somehitn in Outlook? How can I fix it?

If you press the F keys without Fn they function as the icon shown on the key. For instance, if you press F2 without Fn it dims your screen. Press Fn plus the F2 key it functions as F2 normally would.

Thanks. I have trouble figuring out what the symbols mean.

First, it seems the F/Fn keys work on the laptop but not on a remote Bluetooth keyboard. I use a UDMI cable to connect to a large screen and a Logitec keyboard.

Second, the computer is set to respond to the Fn keys directly and the F keys by pressing the Fn key and the F key together, at least so it appears. I use the CTRL+Fx series in Outlook to assign categories to calendar events and tasks. On the laptop, CTRL+Fx in Outlook does nothing. Control + Fn + Fx activates the Fn function. In summary, the CTRL+Fx shortcuts in Outlook don't work on the laptop or via the remote keyboard.

I'd like to fix this. Like most folks, I'd like to spend my time getting my work done as I'm accustomed and not fighting new software. There is an article and I think some videos about how to change this in the Bios but it is about earlier laptops. Will it work for the Spectre x360 Convirtible?

Thanks so much!
