HP Spectre x360 Plugged in not charging

My laptop is a good 8 years old but I've never had any issues before like this. 

My battery ran out in normal time, plugging it in didn't work. I've replaced the adaptor (which works on other HP PCs) and it won't charge my laptop. The charging light doesnt show up.

I can't seem to power reset as the battery is too low to even turn on.

HP have been embarrassing with the help they offer. Keep getting bounced back to different departments and they won't even offer me a repair if I pay for it
