Hi @PitPaPa ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're encountering an issue with the Windows installation on your HP Spectre X360. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Perform a Hard Reboot:

  • Shut down your computer completely.
  • Turn it back on and see if the issue persists.

Check Boot Order:

  • Ensure that your computer is set to boot from the internal hard drive first.
  • Access the BIOS or UEFI settings during the startup process (usually by pressing a key like F2, F10, ESC, or DEL).
  • In the boot order settings, make sure the internal hard drive is set as the first boot device.

Perform a Clean Windows Installation:

  • Create a Windows installation USB drive using the Media Creation Tool on another computer.
  • Boot your HP Spectre X360 from the USB drive.
  • During the Windows installation process, choose the option to perform a clean installation.
  • Delete all existing partitions on the hard drive and install Windows on the unallocated space.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure that there are no hardware issues, such as a failing hard drive or RAM.
  • Run hardware diagnostics provided by HP or use third-party tools to check the health of your hardware.

Restore from HP Recovery Partition:

  • Some HP laptops come with a recovery partition that allows you to restore the system to factory settings.
  • Access this recovery partition during the boot process (usually by pressing a specific key, such as F11) and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check for BIOS/UEFI Updates:

  • Ensure that your laptop has the latest BIOS/UEFI firmware installed. Check the HP website for any available updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
