HP Sream 14-ax0xx Storage Drivers

I cant find on the HP website support for HP Stream 14-ax0xx storage drive for re-instaling window 7 from 10, because win 10 is too big for this laptop as it has only 32GIG SSD Drive

Hi:

Windows 7 is not supported on platforms with eMMC flash storage drives.

Intel never released any storage controller drivers for W7.

There is an operating system called Tiny 10 that might work better than the full blown W10.

I use the Tiny 11 OS on one of my HP PC's which is too weak to run the full W11 version very well.

Works great.  Uses the W10 product key in the BIOS to activate and whatnot.

You can actually install Tiny11 on your notebook if you want, because it does not check for processor compatibility.

 I would say stay currant and protected if you are going to be on line. One of the attempts I had to overcome the lack of Storage was to downgrade to Windows 8.1. I was not happy with it and went back to Windows10, however I added a new NVME SSD and now only use the built in eMMC 32GB as storage. If you are able to Upgrade yourself you can save money, or you could find a good Phone/Laptop repair shop to add the hardware for you and install a fresh Windows 10 install to the new SSD.  You can add any size NVME SSD from 64 GB to 1 TB, 

 You would need 4 things, an SSD ( Your choice of size ), an  M.2 (NGFF) NVME SSD to M2 A/E Key WiFi Port Adapter, and a Boot Utility Duet with rEFInd to overide the BIOS wanting to only boot from eMMC and add support for NVME drives. Also a low profile USB WIFI/BT Dongle, as you will replace your M.2 WIFI/BT Module with the SSD via the M.2 Adapter.

 The above is not supported by HP, and doing this will void any warranty ( unless like me you were well out of warranty),  It can give your Stream a new lease on life.
