HP Stream Laptop 11-y0XX

Mom got laptop with the OS wiped. just looking to download one to get my daughter her own little computer for herself to play games and do school work on. can someone point me in the right direction as to where to go to get an OS for this one. i do believe it is a Windows

The notebook originally came with W10 Home.

 

You can make a bootable W10 USB installation flash drive with the Microsoft media creation tool from the link below.

 

Make the 64 bit installation media.

 

Download Windows 10

 

To boot from the W10 USB flash drive, have it plugged into your PC's USB port.

 

Turn on or restart the PC.

 

Immediately tap...tap...tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

 

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that select the USB flash drive and press the Enter key.


The PC should boot from the flash drive and load the W10 setup files.

 

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from the support page:
