My daughter purchased a HP Stream 14 and is wanting to sell as she is now getting a PC. We have tried to reset so that all data can be removed and a factory reset could be performed for security of her data. But it will not let us do this, it goes through all the procedure and at the end says no changes have been made. We have freed up space, tried following different you tube tutorials all to no avail. Is it possible to factory reset this device as we don't want anyone else being able to access her data if it gets sold on. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi:
What I suggest you do is this...
Clean install W10.
Use the media creation tool to create a bootable USB installation flash drive.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
When you get to the part of the installation that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows,' delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space. Click Next, and W10 will install.
When you sell the PC the new user can set up an W10 logon account and install the drivers and software from the support page.
