HP Stream 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought an HP Stream 14 from a guy, he said a factory restore was done so that I could set it up myself. But when I try to set a password for the lockscreen, it tells me that I needed to add a Microsft email account. I set one up, and then when I try to login to the account I keep getting a message that says "Congratulations, just enter your original account password one last time and the next time you login you can use the new account" (I'm paraphrasing the message). So I try to contact the guy and he has deleted his account. I just want to do a system restore so I can get on with my life. When I go thru Windows settings and type in system restore, it does nothing. I'm ready to throw this computer out the window. Please help

@Janay128

The HP Stream models are unable to do factory resets  because the drive is not large enough to hold the working files.  You have to do the reset from external media.

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
