HP Stream 2016 won’t down load Office Home & Student 2016 & Windows 10 updates

To be fair not sure this has ever been a good investment. Bought from Currys UK as a Student laptop plus the Microsoft Office Home &  Student 2016 and tried to install unsuccessfully  June 2019. Over last year won’t install Windows updates as not enough memory! Now son gone to collage and needs the office, Word, Powetpoint etc! But won’t download not enough memory plus error Microsoft messages stating Multiple problems. At wits end before giving up and having to invest in something fit for use not HP! Any ideas Guys? Would be much appreciated!

These inexpensive devices are meant to be used with all extra software, photos, "everything" stored and accessed via the Internet and Cloud Storage.

In the case of Microsoft Office, downloading a full copy of the Office 2016 software takes a bunch of space - space you may not have on your little Stream.
