Hi
I've seen a fair few posts recently about people who own HP Streams and wanting to fix or just increase the size of the HDD as the eMMC chips are very limited with storage capacity and tend to break. Being soldered onto the motherboard makes it difficult to replace and could end up costing more than the laptop did originally. This method sacrifices the Wi-Fi card (get a cheap USB dongle) and replaces it with an internal SD card reader - you can read the instructions and decide wether it's for you or not here - [content removed]
Cheers

Hi@ryanuk8787, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Everything is soldered to the motherboard....the CPU, RAM, and HDD all three so the only way to upgrade would be to replace the motherboard which will cost more than the computer did.
Here is the Manual:
Follow the below steps to resolve Low Disk Space issues by disabling the hibernation option:
Run the Disk Cleanup tool, and then at the bottom of the window that pops up, click on "Clean up system files". Check everything, hit OK, and let it run. You will free up several GB for sure.
-
Another thing to do is disable hibernate file. Run CMD as Administrator, and type the following:
-
powercfg hibernate off
-
Enjoy your extra space!

Note: HP Doesn't recommend any upgrade/downgrade of any hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product. It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance. You can change the configuration at your own risk.
Nothing is end-user serviceable...it is a closed system.
Keep me posted. Happy to help!
