** If this is related to your BIOS/startup password, try this:

 

If you can recall the password, just press the power-on button (hold if for 5-10 seconds if necessary) and restart the PC. Enter the correct password. Best would be if you do know the password and if you enter it correctly.

 

If you do not know the password or it's not accepted for some reason, you will have to contact HP Support team for assistance in removing the password for the HP Stream computers. This cannot be fixed here in the forum.

Depending on the case, the motherboard might need to be replaced or the BIOS might need to be reflushed. And under certain curcumstances, this may not be covered by the PC warranty. But please, check with HP first via call. If in the USA, call 1-800-474-6836
