HP Stream
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a HP Stream laptop, only around 2 years old and I keep getting messages that the disk space is full.

I am not the best at fixing these sorts of things, but so far I have removed all personal files so there are now no pics, music, documents etc. I have also ran disk clean up, compressed files/folders, tried to reinstall windows 10 and even tried a full reset in order to create space and essentially just get the laptop back to how it was when bought. Nothing has worked (only freeing up the smallest amount of space) and many operations I can’t even run due to the fact I don’t have enough disk space.

Sometimes, when I try to carry out any action, even just opening a folder, the screen begins to flash on and off and I have to shut down or restart. I cannot open, create or edit any documents - or pretty much do anything!

Any help would be massively appreciated as I am running out of options, and don’t really want to have to buy a new laptop when this one is still relatively new!

Here are some things you can do to recover some of the disk space:

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:

In addition, I have found the utility Cleanmgr+ to have LOTS of options for removing Windows junk, including log files. I use it practically every day. You can get it from here: https://www.getclone.app/download/category/11-cleanmgr

Also, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html
