HP PAvilion 15-N011TX NB PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My Hp Support Assistant and few other applications stopped working when I updated my windows form Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. I don't know why this is happening as I was using the preinstalled windows in my notebook. Kindly provide me a solution for this.

Also I want to know the product key of the windows which I am using because it never shows me any product key when I try to check it.

Hi @Abhishek_07,

Thank you for posting at HP Forums!

I understand that you have problems with HP Support Assistant and product key. I want to help.

Please uninstall the HP Support Assistant from the Program and Features in your Control Panel. Restart the computer and then download the HP Support Assistant from here: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html. Reinstall it.

The product key was embedded in the BIOS. You will need a software to read it.

Check the step 3 of the link: How to Find Product Key for Windows 8 or Windows 8.1
