My Support Assistant suddenly stopped opening when clicking on shortcut. I uninstalled it and installed the latest version sp71727. It still won't open. Uninstalled and reinstalled two more times with same result. I even went to program folder and clicked on executable with same result. Rest of programs and system operating normally. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello, @Prissy_J
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand you are having issues while installing the updates through HP SA (Support Assistant). I would suggest the below-mentioned solutions:
Solution 1:
Download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the HP Support Assistant website. Go to http://hp.care/2fkV7SH and click on “Download HP Support Assistant to update the current version to the latest version.
Solution 2:
Go to http://hp.care/2siPCG7 and follow the steps under “Cannot open Support Assistant".
Solution 3:
Download and update the driver from the product driver page. Go to http://hp.care/2bjHn5I and put in your complete product name to enter the product driver and software page. You can download and update the components from here.
Alternatively, you can check for the general troubleshooting steps from here: http://hp.care/2siPCG7
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
Thanks & have a great day 🙂
