I have tried multiple times to use diagnostic functions in Support Assistant (fix audio issues, check operating system, etc.), and it keeps starting the process (gathering info, etc,). and then just goes straight to the feedback/was your issue solved box, without ever running the diagnostics? .
Just recently got this device and it was refurbished, not sure if that could have anything to do with it

Hi @Jc33769,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Since you recently purchased a refurbished device and HP Support Assistant skips directly to the feedback screen without running the selected diagnostics, let's narrow down whether this affects specific diagnostic tools or the application as a whole.
Could you please confirm a few details?
- What is the exact HP laptop or desktop model, and which version of Windows are you running?
- Does this happen with every diagnostic tool in HP Support Assistant, or only certain ones, such as audio troubleshooting and operating system checks?
- Does HP Support Assistant display any error message, or does it simply return to the feedback screen?
- Have you noticed whether HP Support Assistant has any pending updates?
In the meantime, please try restarting the computer and opening HP Support Assistant again. You can also check for application updates within the app.
If the issue persists, your answers will help us determine whether to focus on HP Support Assistant itself or on the individual diagnostic tools. The refurbished status alone does not establish the cause.
Best regards,
