Elitebook 840 G8
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a clean install of W10 on a new Elitebook. Only added MS Office and a default PDF reader. Everything system-wide opens PDFs in the reader app, except Outlook that insists on opening them in the "HP Sure Click Secure Browser", a browser based on Chrome that I neither want nor need. I cannot find a way of changing this behavior or even uninstalling this HP app.

You need to re-assign apps for file types. Please use following steps

   (a) Hold down Win key and hit i (letter i),

   (b) Open Apps,

   (c)  Select Default apps,

   (d) Choose Default apps by file type,

Now you can select file type to associate with available app.

Regards.
