We are planning to use HP Sure Recovery at our company to restore a Corporate image. In testing we have setup a test IIS server on Windows Server 2019. It works fine with anonymous access from the Sure Recovery process.
Then I added the Basic Authentication features and configured a local account - and I also enabled Basic Authentication and disabled anonymous access on the Default website. I also turned on browsing for testing purposes.
I can login to the web server using the local account username and password from any machine including the test laptop. However when I try to recover it fails. In the IIS log there are "401 2 5" errors. I have also verified that the HP Sure Recover payload has a username at least (the PowerShell command doesn't show the password). Has anyone else experienced this issue?
