Have the issue. When going over some other posts such as https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Corrupted-BIOS-Can-t-create-USB... , I found a list of files that were downloaded. My files downloaded are missing some and I believe this is the problem. Also when I try to launch the FWUpdLcl.exe it says that xerces-c_2_7.dll is missing. What laptop number do you have?

HP ENVY - 15-as133cl

Maybe it is an issue with a model series.

My list of files is:

CrisisFolder

081D2.fd

CrisisKeyDLL.dll

FlsHook.exe

FlsHookDll.dll

FWUpdLcI.exe

InsydeFlash.exe

iscflash.dll

iscflash.sys

iscflashx64.sys

platform.ini

@JediD,

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you are having issues related to your HP notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

What exactly seems to be an issue with the computer? Are you not able to boot the computer into the Windows

Did it happen after a recent bios update?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

If the computer does not boot after a recent Bios update, then I would suggest here is to perform Bios recovery.

Attempt to reset or recover the existing BIOS (if the recent update was interrupted): Click here

If you have followed the steps suggested and still having the issue, I would suggest here is to contact our HP phone support for further assistance.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".
