My HP OmniBook 5 Laptop won't update an HP recommended update.

I understand you're not able to update recent updates.

please try the following steps:

In Windows, search for and open Check for updates.

If there are any available updates, they begin automatically.

If there are any optional updates, select Advanced options, select Optional updates, select the updates that you want to install, and then click Download & install.

After the updates install, restart your computer when prompted.
