Hi,

I need to boot from as usb drive. Therefore i need to disable secure boot.

Before i gave my laptop for a warranty repair (which didnt fix anything at all, except reinstall the wrong OS), i was able to disable secure boot easily.

But since i got i back, it's impossible to disable this bloody secure boot. I tried  resetting the bios settings to factory defaults, disabling TPM state and set a bios passoword (which i avoid as much as possible, as i have seen so many HP lapotops which locked bios). Even though i'm asked to enter a code after the secure bios disable, none of those solutions worked. I tried to disable "Sure Start BIOS Settings Protection". It worked, but now this option is greyed out...

Do you guys would have any idea ?

Tks

PS: before attempting to disable secure boot, i replaced the HD drive with a nvme one and no OS is installed on it.

Sounds like you're doing all the right stuff; so I have no idea why it is not working.

I would put the HD drive back and see if you can THEN, disable Secure Boot and then put back the NVMe drive.
