HP 250 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC (511V4AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I bought HP 250 G9 laptop as replacement for my old HP 250 G6 and would like to create recovery media.

My questions are...
Can I use cloud recovery manager to create more than one set of usb recovery media? Or is it limited to only one? I don't fully trust to flash memory drives.

Is there a way to create usb recovery media from the recovery partition ? (I have limited and slow internet connection at the moment). BTW I saw there is a recovery manager option in BIOS.

For how long recovery images are available to download from HP site? Are they available even after the guarantee has expired?

Regards. Chris.

Hi, Chris:

You can create a bootable USB recovery drive with the cloud recovery tool as many times as you want.

Even though the hardware warranty will normally expire in 1 year, HP will provide driver support the PC for around 10 years after the release date, so you should have at least that long to use it.

You cannot create recovery media with the recovery partition like the old days, when you got one shot at it.
