Attempted to enable finger touch security. Now cannot login does not recognize my password and there is nowhere to reset it.

Try these steps:

Use the Password Reset Option: If you have set up password recovery options, use them to reset your Windows account password.

Use HP Security Software:

  • If you have HP ProtectTools Security Manager installed, you can use it to manage and troubleshoot login issues. Check your administrator tools and security settings in HP ProtectTools to ensure proper configuration.

Alternative Log-in Methods:

  • Try logging in with your Windows password.
  • Ensure that your fingerprint is registered properly.

Safe Mode:

  • Restart your computer.
  • Enter Safe Mode by pressing F8 as your computer boots up.
  • Try logging in with your account credentials in Safe Mode.

Administrator Account:

  • If you have access to another user account with administrator privileges, log in and reset your primary account password.
