I can't find information about compatibility with Windows 10 - so I'll write here.
I have a laptop HP envy dv7-7265er and plan to put the SSD. I really want to switch to Windows 10, because Windows 8.1 is inconvenient.....
Q: is my laptop and Windows 10 compatible?

Hi:
Your notebook is not supported by HP for W10.
There may be issues with the wifi, audio, fingerprint sensor, and the Intel/Nvidia switchable graphics adapters not having drivers.
You may still be able to get the free upgrade to W10 by reading the info at the link below.

The only way to find out is to click on the blue Update Now button at the link below, try W10 and you have 30 days to go back to W8.1 if W10 doesn't work to your satisfaction.

If you decide to take the gamble, if the audio doesn't work right, see if installing this W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model notebook and restarting the PC works.
