If the laptop is reset to factory condition will I need a password to open it?

Hi

Factory Fresh F11 reset will wipe everything, so you start as a new user with a new name and password.

Also you may want to make backups, recovery media and source a new hard drive if/when the extra stress of an F11 causes premature failure or corruption.
