  • Hello, I have any HP laptop, 7th generation Core i3, 1TB. Recently it has been giving me problems. It will continually go to the automatic repair screen. I decided to bring it to a computer repair place and he completely reset it, reinstalled windows and it still wouldn't work. So I brought it back, he then replaced the ram and it seemed to be working fine for him. But when I went to use it, it loaded perfectly until I would open something and then it would pop up with "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart". Since it kept doing this, I brought it back to the computer repair place. He then replaced the motherboard battery and told me if it didn't work right this time, that he was stumped and could no longer work on it. I just spent so much money trying to fix it and just wondering if anyone would have any advice on what else could be wrong?

Thank you for the reply! It passed all the tests. I snapped a photo, but I'm not sure how to add a picture to this reply. And I'm not sure what the next step might be.

Hello @at006

There could be a technical error which is not detected by HP Diagnostics software.

Please repeat Extensive HP Diagnotics Tests a few times ...

You should consider buying a new notebook.

Kind regards
