My notebook has not been working as far as being able to turn on since 06/22. Prior to 06/22, the notebook worked fine. The notebook has not been dropped or any other malfunction. I replaced the battery of the notebook, and the charger of the notebook which did not resolve the problem. I also attempted to take out the battery and charge the notebook separately. That did not work. I also tried holding down the power key for 15-20seconds, and tried holding down the power button, the letter B key and the start key all at once and release, in order for the notebook to turn on, and still nothing.
The notebook is still under warranty for another 7mos. What can I do? Ps all of my document is on this notebook.
sidenote: prior to the notebook not turning on, I did notice that my documents were under another person’s drive. For example , my document would be saved and then next to the document would be someone’s name and drive at the end of the document. Both situations above are mutually exclusive. But tend to be unresolved nonetheless.
who can help me? Thank you in advance!

Hi @Mya10,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP model 15-dy2073dx laptop is fully charged but not turning on, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Check the power source: Ensure that the power adapter is properly connected to the laptop and the power outlet. Sometimes, a loose connection can prevent the laptop from turning on. You can also try a different power outlet or a different power adapter if available.
- Remove external devices: Disconnect all external devices such as USB drives, external monitors, or printers from your laptop. Sometimes, a faulty external device can cause startup issues.
- Perform a hard reset: Disconnect the power adapter, remove the laptop's battery (if removable), and press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds. Then release the power button, reconnect the power adapter (if applicable), and try turning on the laptop.
- Check the display: Make sure the laptop's display is functional. Look for any signs of life, such as LED lights or fan activity. If the laptop seems to power on but there is no display, try connecting an external monitor to see if you get any output. This can help determine if the issue is with the display or the laptop itself.
- Try different power button combinations: Some laptops have specific power button combinations that can help resolve startup issues. For example, pressing and holding the power button along with the Fn key or the Esc key.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
