HP pavilion 15-cw1013na full touch screen is not power up, the power light is flashing

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help, my daughter's laptop won't power on, when we plug in the charger if flashes orange.  We have two other hp laptops around the same age and tried all three adaptors.

We think there is a problem with the battery.  It is out of warranty, but when I purchased the laptop I also purchased the HP Care pack, which doesn't run out until May next year.
