Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The charger that came with my HP Pavilion laptop has stopped working for unexplained reasons and I am wondering what type of new charger I could buy that would be compatible with my laptop.

You have a couple of options.

The charger has a part number on it, so to get the same charger, you can look online for places that sell that specific charger.  They will probably be cheaper than HP and if it's the same model, it will be a genuine HP part.

You could also use this link to look at the parts for your laptop and see if HP has come up with a replacement charger -- they do that from time to time:  HP PartSurfer
