I used the F11 menu to restore this machine to factory installation of windows, allowing it to remove all installed software and user files. The computer does have a 64G micro sd card in it, if that matters.
That worked and we started going through windows updates. At some point, it took an entire day to finish one of the updates.
Then it rebooted and said it had to revert changes and we left it untouched for 7 days, plugged in and reverting the changes.
I decided to revert back to factory installation of windows 10 and now it tells me something goes wrong as soon as it starts. I tried reverting with retaining user data and files and I tried reverting with deleting everything. Neither method works.
I have run the diagnostics tests and everything comes back looking good.
