Hello, I have HP Pavillon 15, recently I have a specific bug that is very weird. When I start my laptop it is freezing at the login page and I can do nothing (mouse doesn’t work, keyboard also).

But I found something by pure chance, when I start the laptop I click F10 to go the bios settings and I save and exit without changing anything and after that I don’t have the freeze screen and everything works well.

Well, I want to know if someone has the same problem as me and do you know why is this happening ? And why the F10 method works also. I asked AI about that but it doesn’t explain.

Thank you so much for your time!

Try this:

  1. Open the Start Menu, type Control Panel, and open it.
  2.  Click on Power Options.
  3.  On the left sidebar, click "Choose what the power buttons do".
  4. Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable" at the top (requires administrator approval).
  5.  Look at the bottom under Shutdown settings, uncheck the box for Turn on fast startup.
  6.  Click Save changes and restart the laptop.
  7. Now check.
