Hi @prasasd ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer is not printing text or images, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

Check Ink or Toner Levels: Ensure that the ink or toner cartridges in your printer have sufficient levels. If they are low or empty, replace them with new cartridges.

Run Print Quality Diagnostic: Most printers have a built-in diagnostic tool that can help identify and resolve print quality issues. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to run a print quality diagnostic or refer to the printer's control panel for any available options.

Clean Printheads: Over time, printheads can become clogged or dried, affecting print quality. Many printers have a utility for cleaning printheads. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the printheads.

Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your Windows 11 computer. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest drivers for Windows 11.

Check Print Queue: Open the print queue on your computer and make sure there are no pending print jobs or errors. If there are, cancel any pending jobs and try printing again.

Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer and your computer can resolve connectivity or software-related issues. Turn off both devices, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on.

Check Paper and Print Settings: Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of paper and that the print settings (such as paper size, orientation, and quality) are configured correctly in both the printer settings and the print dialog on your computer.

Reinstall Printer Software: Uninstall the printer software from your computer and then reinstall it. This can help resolve any software-related issues that may be affecting printing.

Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and check if there are any firmware updates available.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
